Associate Veterinarian

Rocking KM Potwin is growing, and we're looking for a small animal veterinarian ready to join a clinic with real momentum, strong support, and meaningful mentorship.

This is a full-time small animal position with no on-call responsibilities. You'll provide day-to-day patient care in Potwin while working alongside a permanent veterinarian committed to mentorship, collaboration, and helping you grow into the doctor you want to become.

Whether you're an experienced practitioner or a new graduate looking for guidance and hands-on support, you'll have access to a team that genuinely enjoys teaching. Between our permanent Potwin veterinarian, Dr. Miller, and our Council Grove doctors, you'll never be expected to figure everything out alone.

We're looking for someone who practices thoughtful medicine, values client relationships, and wants to be part of a clinic that's actively growing, remodeling, and investing in its future.

Position Overview:

CLINICAL CONFIDENCE: A strong foundation in small animal preventative medicine, diagnostics, and surgery. Open to unique cases and willing to ask questions.

GROWTH MINDSET: Demonstrates curiosity and a desire to keep learning. Potwin is expanding, and we want someone ready to grow with the clinic and contribute to its future.

COMMUNITY CARE: Shows genuine care for clients and the community we serve. Values clear communication and patient education. Builds trust through honesty and compassion.

PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY: We value a doctor who can assess a situation, utilize available resources, and make sound decisions while continuing to learn and grow. Someone who stays steady when things get challenging and approaches cases with curiosity instead of fear.

COLLABORATION: Comfortable working with a supportive team, including technicians, assistants, and associate doctors across both locations. Willing to share knowledge and ask for help when needed.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong communication with clients and team members. Our community trusts us because we take the time to educate, explain, and listen. We are looking for someone who builds relationships through honesty, empathy, and follow-through.

COMMITMENT TO LEARNING: A genuine desire to continue growing as a practitioner. You take CE seriously. You ask questions. You enjoy mentorship and collaboration. You're energized by new cases and new skills and want a clinic that supports your development rather than limits it.

PERSONAL QUALITIES: Grounded, compassionate, and reliable. Someone who shows up for their patients, clients, and teammates. We value doctors who bring steady energy, treat people well, and always put patient care first.

TEAMWORK AND ADAPTABILITY: Comfortable working within a strong support staff and alongside doctors at both locations when needed. Able to adapt to the natural flow of a growing clinic and sees teamwork as a strength, not a burden.
